Here in Illinois ~found a house~

Scott is how I remember it when I was here 10 years ago, defintely country around here but St. Louis is only 15 minutes away. It seems like alot of people really like it out here and it is a good place for kids. It will be different then NJ though that is for sure. But it is 3 years and then who knows what may happen.

Chad and I are here out in Illinois right now... we have looked at about 10 houses and finally last night the last one we saw we really loved it. The ironic thing is the person who showed us the house is someone who Chad will be working for at Scott. It is actually were we wanted to live for the school districts here. Taylor is going to a Christian school that is about 10 minutes away and Aiden will be going to a preschool (probably) that is run by the school district for kids who need a little more help with speech and things like that. O'fallon was reallly refreshing to see all the kids running in their sport activties and all the parks around here. It is a very nice town.

So, we have 3 more months to go!

The little things can make me smile...

Chad and I are getting ready to go out to Illinois for a few days this week. My parents were nice enough to take the kids for 4 days so we can go out and see where we will be living for the next 3 years. It is going to be a whirlwind of days... we have planned to visit the school we will be sending Taylor to, look at some houses, meet Chads co-workers, meet a few friends of mine and explore the area. I heard St. Louis has a good fondue restaurant The Melting Pot Restaurant that is suppose to be romantic (so we will see if it brings the romantic side of Chad out, ha ha) .

Seriously, it has been a little stressful thinking about leaving, saying goodbye, getting school records, medical records, canceling gym memberships and not to mention packing 10 years worth of things... I was a little stressed out today, then I came downstairs and there is Aiden with his sunglasses on upside down and his jacket on inside out and upside down. Then there is Taylor who just lost her two front teeth! It reminds me of all I have to be thankful for. It seems like people are so friendly out there and we are definitely going to make the most of it.

Changes Coming...

Well we just got news on Friday that we are going to Scott AFB in IL for three years. It will be good for Chad's career and I am hoping for our family as well. I have heard really good things about the area and I already have a few friends there, so that makes it a little more easier. That being said it is still an anxious feeling of packing up and leaving after we have been blessed to be in one place for 10 years. We have some really good friends around here and of course the family will be hard to leave. My parents are just happy we are in the States yet as we almost went to England. My dad is like, "Just another reason for me to get a motor home"... at least my family travels so I know I will still see them. But it doesn't make it any easier. Chad swears we will be back East eventually... who knows what God has in store for us. I just have to trust him that he has a plan for our life. So we will have our house packed up in about 2 and a half months! We are going to go and visit in the next 2 weeks to see what we might do for housing and just to check out the area.

This weekend my parents came down with my little niece, it makes a big difference having 3 kids in the house! They are such a handful but cute together. Well I will write more later. I just wanted to share this with you all. I have been slacking on my blogging I know! Check out Aiden's shoes and headband... he just loves Taylor's things.
